The Dade County Democratic Committee congratulates our gubernatorial nominee, Keisha Lance Bottoms!
There will be no incumbent in the 2026 race for Governor. Currently, Republicans Burt Jones and Rick Jackson are in a runoff for the Republican nomination. The runoff would occur on June 16th. There is also a Libertarian candidate.
After the Republican nominee is known, we will start placing polling information here as it develops.
Mayor Bottoms nearly swept all 159 counties of Georgia, winning a majority or plurality in 158 of them. The results statewide were:
Bottoms - 607,342 56.21% ✅
Esteves - 201,649 18.66%
Thurmond -139,650 12.93%
Duncan - 75,663 7.00%
Jackson - 25,009 2.31%
Duffy - 18,775 1.74%
Brown - 12,304 1.14%
In Dade, Bottoms received a majority of 206 votes, or 50.12%.
