Georgia Governor

There will be no incumbent in the 2026 race for Governor. Current Governor Brian Kemp (Rep) is term-limited and cannot run again. This has led to a wide-open field in both major parties. Enough candidates are running in both parties that we should expect a runoff in both from the May 19th primary; the runoff would occur on June 16th.
There has, so far, been little quality polling done. Two polls, one from UGA before the New Year, and a second from Emory more recently, have been conducted. Both show 33-43% of Democratic voters are undecided.
The Dade County Democratic Committee will not endorse any Democratic candidate in the upcoming 2026 Gubernatorial primary.
Election probability - HIGH for a runoff
Candidate probability - Bottoms HIGH to make runoff
