Because these were special elections to get the Public Service Commission's staggered terms back in alignment, Peter Hubbard will have to run for re-election next year in 2026. Alicia Johnson's District 2 seat will be good for 5 years until 2030. Normally, Public Service Commission terms are 6 years.
