Georgia State Senate (D-53)
The Dade County Democratic Committee has endorsed Jack Zibluk for State Senate District 53 in the upcoming March 10th special election. The special election will complete the current term vacated by Colton Moore. That term will last the remainder of 2026. The May 2026 primary will determine the nominee for next year’s 2-year term, to be voted on in November.
Jack is a professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. His areas of expertise are in journalism and communication. Jack comes from a family of immigrants who have served the public all their lives. His father and uncles fought in World War II, with his father being wounded in battle. Jack’s family background has instilled a deep love of this country into him, and its his desire to continue his lifetime of public service that compels him to run for state
senate.
Most importantly, for a state assembly position, Jack believes serving his constituents comes first and foremost, above party or the partisan noise of the day. For our area, establishing interstate cooperation is something Jack will focus on, given how little his predecessor did in that area.
