The Dade County Democratic Committee congratulates Penny Brown Reynolds as our party’s nominee for Secretary of State!
There will be no incumbent in the 2026 race for Secretary of State. Current Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (Rep) ran and lost the Republican nomination for Governor. The Republican nominee for Secretary of State is Tim Fleming.

Primary results from this race were as follows:
Penny Brown Reynolds - 434,790 42.34%
Dana Barrett - 361,318 35.22%
Cam Ashling - 126,413 12.31%
Adrian Consonery Jr - 104,035 10.13%
In the runoff, the results were:
Penny Brown Reynolds - 242,235 (63.1%)
Dana Barrett - 141,646 (36.9%)
In Dade, Dana Barrett received a plurality of 154 votes (38.79%) in the primary. In the runoff, Barrett received a majority of 138 votes (69%).
